During an emergency muster drill, knowing who has reached the assembly point and who has not is normally a manual headcount process. With BLE tags already deployed for forklift and worker tracking, the same location data can automate headcount: the dashboard shows in real time which tagged personnel and contractors have checked into the muster zone, cutting the time it takes to confirm a full evacuation compared to a manual roll call.
Proximity Alerts Between Forklifts and Pedestrians
Where lone worker tags or general employee tags are also in use, this same location data can be paired with proximity detection: if a tagged worker and a tagged forklift come within a set distance of each other, both can receive an alert before a near-miss becomes an incident. Location-based visibility and alerting are not a substitute for operator training, site design, or regulatory compliance.
